Age Arts
Age Arts began as a personal journey for me, inspired by my experiences caring for my grandmother.
I’m in my late twenties, with a first-class degree in English Literature and a passion for Romanticism. After working in customer care in Manchester for a number of years, where I saw how even a small gesture or a friendly word can brighten up someone’s face, I became more aware of the isolation many elderly people face.
Spending time with my grandmother, I realised how her world had gradually narrowed, and I wanted to create something that could reconnect people like her with a broader sense of social life.
Age Arts grew from this need — a way to bring the outside world into the comfort of your home, using art, literature, and real human company as a bridge to better mental wellbeing.
