About The Cultural Me

Our Mission

The Cultural Me is on a mission to unearth foundational truths from within the scholarly humanities to address modern challenges — challenges including mental wellbeing, self-improvement, and cultural discovery.

We recognise that for the humanities to thrive, they must demonstrate their relevance beyond academic circles — through their practical real-world use. The practical value of a work or good is (arguably) best measured by its worth in the market, say, as witnessed by those who first paid to see Shakespeare’s plays. Shakespeare was not only a masterful playwright but also a businessman whose stake in the Lord Chamberlain’s Men tied his financial success to the quality of his work. Similarly, the masterpieces of the Italian Renaissance were influenced by competition, as artists vied for lucrative commissions.

By subjecting the ideas of the humanities to market forces, we can test and refine their practical relevance and elevate their importance in modern society.

Our Platforms

The Cultural Me platforms are designed to achieve our mission by offering innovative products and services inspired by the scholarly humanities.

Publishing

Publishing is at the heart of what we do. Our catalogue includes a wide range of articles and stories that reflect the breadth and depth of the humanities. We are now expanding into short story collections, poetry, and novellas.

Ciceroni Platform

The Ciceroni platform provides humanities professionals with opportunities to offer services related to travel, lifestyle, and mental wellbeing, either one-to-one or in group settings.

Art Listing and Sales

Our art listing and sales platform offers emerging artists a space to gain exposure and commercialise their work.
