Footage of Claude Monet in his Garden (1915)

A clip from Sacha Guitry’s Ceux de chez nous (Those of Our Land) (1915) showing Monet painting in his Garden. Guitry’s film also features other famous French artists drawn from his family’s social circle. Guitry made the film in reaction to German wartime propaganda which extolled German culture.
